Raisa Whisenhunt Bio

Raisa has been teaching early childhood education for 9 years, the first 3 years she taught at Umpire Public Schools; 2 of those years were in a 3rd and 4th grade general education classroom before she transitioned to 1 year in Special Education. She has spent the last 6 years in K-3 Special Education at JoAnn Walters Elementary in Dierks.

Raisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education from Southern Arkansas University and her Master’s degree in Special Education K-12 from Southern Arkansas University. Raisa recently completed a second Master’s degree in Higher Adult Lifelong Learning (HALE) from Southern Arkansas University.

Raisa is passionate about teaching young children and loves to watch them grow and make progress daily. She is even more passionate about JESUS. Raisa has been active in church her entire life and has taught in various capacities in the church setting. Raisa says, “getting to teach at a Christian school is the best of both worlds: Teaching Jesus daily to kids while giving them an education at the same time.” She is so excited about this new opportunity, and she can’t wait to see what God has in store for Grace Christian! ❤️
